We all have choices in life, its human; it’s the way it is.
Yet with those choices regardless of what they are, come consequences, due to the actions we take when any choice presents itself to us.
This consequence ultimately is our own choice, yet people fail to own this as what it is as they continue down their path of denial desperately searching for something or someone to blame for the choice that they made ultimately resulting in their consequence.
Life’s road is not always a road that is straight and easy to travel, it does have its pot holes bumps and hidden bends that is how we learn from taking those bumps, falling into some pot holes and finding our way back to the road that is smooth again.
Although life is a journey that we are all on, for some of us that journey has many pot holes, hidden bends and often rocky climax’s and the road back to some form of smooth is often long and sometimes hard to find, some of us stay off the beaten track for longer than others well we find our way,
Being lost does not give us the free pass to say ‘well fuck you world’ and ‘poor me I am so hard done by my life sucks’. Being lost is not an excuse for being an arsehole.
Being lost simply means finding your way, sometimes asking for directions, but mostly it means learning.
Learning that you are not the sole and only person on the face of the planet that matters,
Learning that there is a huge difference between selfish and selflessness.
Every day I hear people telling me they are selfless, they do anything for others that they can, when the reality is they are far from selfless, as their claim to helping others results in their gain.
As I sit and listen, look and watch, I see so many people in situations that are far from easy, I see people in utter desperation, with health, housing, life in general, and coping, that it becomes a clouded view at times to see the clear through the smoke and mirrors.
In a day and age where we are fast paced in technology so evolved in medical practices so we assume, we still continue to use and abuse, in every way shape and form possible.
We forget the simple things in life, and we take hold of the twisted and contorted mess that we create, never taking ownership that this mess, was a choice we made to begin with.
Never owning the responsibility for who or what we are, for things we do daily that we view as selfless yet in reality the things we do are selfish, causing a flow on effect similar to the cliché for every action there is a reaction.
Neglecting to admit that the reaction we are receiving was a result of a choice that we made, therefore the circle of ongoing heartache, isolation and human ignorance continues.
Mankind will never cease to amaze me.
Honestly, I’m somewhat speechless. The reason is that I’m doing something that is totally and completely selfish of me. I DO own it and I know there will be consequences. Your post helped me realize how wrong I may be. Yet, I honestly believe to the marrow of my bones that I’m correcting a mistake that took place nearly 20 years ago. That doesn’t make it any more right. There are so many areas of grey that even I am confused. Thank you.
In life we don’t have the simple black and white, that we want anymore, there is always going to be the grey areas, from my point of view I kind of figure that if you treat others with respect, then they will do the same with regard to how they treat you, lead by example, sometimes those mistakes that take our life times to happen, are the very mistakes that once we make the choice to own them, they become clearer, we know what to do, and how to do it…….;) stay strong honey……as they say Rome wasn’t built in a day………;)

Wise words. There are many woe is mes out there and far to many who think they are helping others but only ultimately helping themselves.
What we give out we receive back. What goes around as they say comes around
What people do not often understand that our actions do have a reaction. And WE all of us have created our present circumstances. Including that of the world right now.
To change that we need only change ourselves and our own actions to create a chain reaction that goes into the world.
